On July 29, 1911, Mohun Bagan beat the East Yorkshire Regiment to lift the IFA Shield – the first time an Indian team beat the British. It was the match that gave India’s freedom movement a much needed boost, and also helped usher in the golden age of football in India. Together, with Budweiser India, we’re telling the story of the football match that started it all, and the years of glory that followed.
