Carrie Bilbo makes extravagant costumes for her pup Chester to compete in costume competitions across NYC. For two years in a row the pair have won the Fort Greene Park Annual PUPkin Dog Costume Contest and plan to conquer more competitions in the years to come.
Bilbo is a jewelry designer who makes Chester’s costumes out of papier-mâche and wood. Her most recent design, the now-famous llama costume, made headlines on Halloween of 2018 for its hilarious debut. Her inspiration comes from Chester himself, who blends effortlessly into the looks. Other impressive costumes include a long caterpillar costume on wheels that allows Chester to transform into a butterfly and an Ewok from Star Wars.
